Back to the Cupcake

Several hours had passed since Pinkie Pie had been caught and Rainbow Dash had passed away. Caterlot Guard had come and stopped her from doing any more acts of evil and she was on trial for mass murder. Her case was clear and she was to be banished to the moon till the day she fell dead. No one could believe that Pinkie would ever do such a thing to Rainbow Dash, her best friend, or any other pony for that matter. It also gave a relive to the ponies as the disappearances had now been accounted for and all the dead could now rest in peace. The burials had been done for all the dead ponies and the dress had been torn apart so the cutie marks, wings and horns of the ponies were buried with their respective owners. All this had happened so quickly so the main four (once six, now four) had taken time off because they didn't want to face their dead friends now. Scootaloo found out that Rainbow Dash had been killed and she was no longer going to be around for her. Scootaloo shocked and scared for life no had nothing left for her on this planet. Her friends tried to cheer her up but there was nothing that could be done to repair Scootaloo's broken heart. Scootaloo told her friends to meet her at the cemetery as she was going to go later. The new feelings of heart break couldn't escape her and she just wanted to be alone so she could think.

She spent an hour just sitting there all alone in her home with no one else. She had a sign on her door saying that she was not to be disturbed as she wanted time to think things through. She had not eaten or drank anything as she was destroyed by what had happened to her. Like all other ponies they thought about how Pinkie Pie could be a monstrous murderer. They also thought what would have happened if she wasn't caught, it would be them next. She looked at the pictures on her wall of all the time that she had spent with Rainbow Dash and all the things that she had done with her. Even with the memories on the wall it would never come close the having Rainbow Dash really here with her.

It was about time for her to go and see Rainbow Dash and the other dead ponies. She took the sign from her door and placed it inside her room. Then she went outside and slowly walked towards the cemetery. She was once again all alone and there was no one to be by her side. There was no one to cuddle up to when watching the star showers and there would never be Rainbow Dash by her side when she would first fly. There was nothing left and she no longer had motivation to move alone. She stopped walking and more welcome tears drained from her dry eyes. She welcomed these tears as they truly showed her emotions at the time. She had to go on though as this is what Rainbow Dash would have wanted her to do. She lifted her head and continued to walk to the cemetery.

Ten minutes had passed and she was all alone with no one to be by. She was close to the cemetery and she was regretting coming here in the first place. It had brought much pain to her just walking there but then again she had to do it as she wanted to respect the life of the one that she loved most. Each footstep made the journey feel like forever and each time she looked up the entrance for the cemetery got closer and closer. She looked up again to see the expected cemetery entrance but another pony looking at the tomb stone for somepony. She was wondering who had come late and who was exactly the same height as her.
"H-Hello" Scootaloo called out to this mysterious pony. The pony flinched and looked to see Scootaloo, and then the pony ran off towards the east exit of the cemetery. Scootaloo picked up the pace and found herself running after this pony with all of her strength. She had a quick glance at the tomb stone to see the inscribed words "Rainbow Dash" on it. She then turned her attention back to the pony that was running away from her. She then called out again "HEY YOU STOP!", but this pony would not stop and instead ran faster. She too picked up the pace and ran as fast as she could. The pony suddenly banked left back into the main complex and Scootaloo followed and frantically searched for this pony. She then caught glimpse of something with purple hair dash into the bush to the left. She stopped to take a breather and kept her eyes on the bush. She was trying to think why this pony was running from her and why it was looking at Rainbow Dash's tomb stone. It was time to reveal who this pony was so Scootaloo went up to the bush and separated the leaves to see what she didn't expect to see.

She had come face to face with, herself. She backed away as this pony came out of the bushes to reveal in fact it was her. Not sure what to ask Scootaloo tried to think of what should herself be doing here with herself. It started to hurt her head as it was very complicated to her on how any of this was possible. The other Scootaloo was looking out of breath and quite grim as she had been running from Scootaloo.

"I know how this looks, but let me explain" the other Scootaloo started.

"Go ahead, I'm all ears" said Scootaloo.

"I'm from the future" future Scootaloo said. Scootaloo stood there trying to think of what a future version of herself was doing here. "I've come back to see you, you need to do what I tell you to do" she continued. "Understand" she said sharply.

"Yes" Scootaloo said knowing that this is what she should be doing.

"You need to take this" said future Scootaloo as she handed a shining blue piece of glass. This had magic and electronic wires going around it. "And you need to travel back in time" she continued.

"But wouldn't that cause a paradox or something?" said Scootaloo. She enjoyed time travelling stories that the other ponies would tell and some of them had paradoxes. She didn't fully grasp the idea of a paradox but she understood the basic principles of it.
"I don't know but you must do this for me, you need to stop Rainbow Dash from going to Sugar Cube Corner. This you must do" said the future Scootaloo. Scootaloo spent a few seconds thinking of how this could go wrong but then again the chance of saving Rainbow Dash from being killed. It would remove the pain she once had and make her feel good again. Also she would not be alone again and she would have someone to be with again.

"I'll do it" said Scootaloo. The other Scootaloo nodded and stepped back. Scootaloo looked down at the device on her neck and then held it in her hoof. She looked to where the other Scootaloo was and she had gone. It was time to do what had to be done. He closed her eyes and thought of the time a couple of hours ago, before Rainbow Dash was killed. Then she opened her eyes to see time rewinding before herself. She watched as all the ponies came and went. Then she got to the time where she saw Rainbow Dash fly across the sky. Then she stopped time travelling and everything went back to normal. She looked at the town clock and saw that the time was twenty minutes before Rainbow Dash met with Pinkie. This was it and this was the only attempt that Scootaloo had and she was going to make it count.

Scootaloo was thinking about what the major things about time travel. They were don't touch anything and don't change any events. But this had to be done and there was nothing for Scootaloo to lose. The time was right and she needed to do this. She now had reasons to continue and she lifted her head high. She then searched the sky for Rainbow Dash but she couldn't be seen. She looked back to the clock and a minute had passed. Time was now against her and she needed to act fast. So she began running toward Sugar Cube Corner knowing that in eight-teen minutes she would be there.

The town was so active and it was like nothing bad was going on. She had no time to stop as this was extremely important. She ran to the entrance of the cemetery and stopped to look around. Nothing was there so she continued to run into town. She knew that she also needed to make sure that she never came in contact with her past self, or else things could go terribly wrong.

She was running like she had never ran before and another minute had passed. She saw the path ahead was blocked by a carriage that had fallen over so she put her head down and ran at it. She then jumped onto a plank, and then she ran up it and jumped over the carriage. She landed and continued to run. Then a barrel of apples fell from Applejacks apple store and Scootaloo was heading for them. She started to slow down but then she knew that she couldn't waste time, as time was now no longer free. She sped up and plotted a course though the apples. Then she executed her plan and ran though these apples. She stood on one of them at the end and heard Applejack from behind calling to her. There was no time as she looked to the clock to see there were fifth-teen minutes left. She steered left and was now in sight of Sugar Cube Corner. The time was coming for her to stop Rainbow Dash. But then the worst of things happened and her past self was walking across the road.

"Crap" she said to herself as she quickly jumped out of the way so she couldn't be seen.  This was a problem, she couldn't be seen by Scootaloo or else she would cause mass damage to time. So she laid low and watched as her past self was happily walking about the town. Blind of the event of horror at Sugar Cube Corner and what was to happen in thirteen minutes. Time was running short and Scootaloo needed to find out where Rainbow Dash was. So she grabbed a rock and threw it in the direction of Sweetie Bell. It hit her hoof and she looked around to see where it came from.

"You two go on, I have something to deal with" said Sweetie Bell as she approached where the rock had come from. The other two nodded and continued walking. Sweetie Bell came over to the place where Scootaloo was hiding and looked down.

"AH HA! There you ar-" Sweetie Bell began before being sent into shock as she saw Scootaloo there. She was about to scream but then Scootaloo shoved her hoof in Sweeties mouth.

"Please don't scream" Scootaloo said quietly but sharply. Sweetie Bell carmed somewhat down and was trying to think about what was going on. "Where is Rainbow Dash!" she said. She then took her hoof from Sweetie Bells mouth and allowed her to answer.

"She doing her normal flying exercises" Sweetie Bell said as she tried to think of what was going on.

"You can tell no one on that I'm here, you have to promise me this" she said sharply and this caused Sweetie bell to nod her head. Scootaloo looked back to the clock. Ten minutes left. She had to get ready to stop Rainbow Dash from meeting Pinkie. She then turned back to Sweetie Bell who was still left there astonished by what had just happened. Scootaloo needed her to go back to the others as she remembered Sweetie Bell leaving then coming back a little shocked. "You should leave now, and remember what I told you" said Scootaloo as she pushed Sweetie Bell away.

"Why do I need to go?" Sweetie Bell asked.

"You must go back, It has to happen" Scootaloo said to Sweetie Bell.

"Ok, but later you have some explaining to do" Sweetie Bell said as she got up and walked away.

Now all Scootaloo had to do was wait until it was one minute before Rainbow Dash came to Sugar Cube Corner. The time raced by and Scootaloo watched until the clock was at the right time. She then watched as Pinkie walked outside and looked left and right. She was looking to see if there was anyone watching and luckily she didn't see Scootaloo. Then after her search she went back inside and went in the kitchen. Scootaloo looked at the clock again and it was twenty-two seconds left until Rainbow Dash arrived. This was the last chance to save Rainbow Dash.

Scootaloo ran over to Sugar Cube corner and looked to the sky and saw Rainbow Dash land in front of her. Now was the time to save her.

"Oh hey there squirt" said Rainbow Dash as she approached Scootaloo.

"I've been looking for you everywhere" said Scootaloo.

"So, what do you need me for" said Rainbow Dash.

"Fluttershy said she needed you to come to her house right now, it's important she said" said Scootaloo.

"I was just about to-" said Rainbow Dash before she was interrupted by Scootaloo.

"She says it's really important" insisted Scootaloo as she was becoming more and more deperate. Then Rainbow Dash started to understand that Fluttershy might actually have something really important for her to do. So she spread her wings and took off.

"I'll be back later then" said Rainbow Dash as she flew away. Scootaloo was now very relieved that she had stopped danger from happening. She sat down and had a sign of relive. But then she heard a very familiar and very angry voice from behind her. She turned to see Pinkie Pie with a frying pan in her hoof.

"You will have to do then" Pinkie said as she smacked Scootaloo round the head with the frying pan. Scootaloo blacked out and her head started to hurt like hell. She had saved Rainbow Dash but now she was in the position that Rainbow Dash was meant to be in. What was going to happen to her, she thought.

When Scootaloo regained conciseness, she found herself in a dark room. She tried to shake her head but found that the taut leather strap kept it firmly in place. She struggled to move, but the braces around her chest and limbs glued her to the upright planks. Her legs were spread wide apart. The only part of her not tied down were her wings as the frame was backless. As she writhed, Pinkie jumped into her line of sight.

"Oh goodie you're awake!" She gleefully stated. Scootaloo scared as hell knew what was going to happen. She had gotten herself into the position that Rainbow Dash should be in. She knew that there was no use in negotiations and there was no reason to fall into the plot and ask questions. She knew exactly what she was going to do.

"This is it" Scootaloo said as she let her head fall and she started to cry. Who would have known that this would have turned on her like this.

"Aww, why the sad face" Pinkie asked as she took the cloth off the tray to reveal various sharp tools and knives.

"Why do you think" said Scootaloo as she continued to let these tears run down her face.

"Well I know what I'm going to do and because you stopped Rainbow Dash from coming here" Pinkie said and then stopped. She then stared into Scootaloo's eyes and said "well you get the idea".

"You're going to pay for what you've done" Scootaloo shouted as she then remember that Pinkie had not shown her the ponies she had killed. Pinkie stopped and looked at Scootaloo for a moment.

"You knew that I was doing this" she asked. Scootaloo stayed silent and then Pinkie shouted "YOU KNEW I WAS DOING THIS". Scootaloo flinched and was reluctant to answer as she now wished she hadn't opened her mouth.

"W-w-wasn't it obvious?" Scootaloo said as she tried to force these words out of her mouth.

"I didn't think so, but now that secret dies here with you" she said before returning to the tray to pick up a knife.

"You really think the secret dies here" uttered Scootaloo.

"Of course, silly. It's not like anyone would believe you" she said and she was right on that occasion.

"OR would they" Scootaloo said. Pinkie was stunned as she had to accept that Scootaloo may have told somepony about this.

"You're bluffing aren't you" she shouted at Scootaloo as she became more and more insecure. She had kept this a secret and now it was possible that she had been beaten at her own game. She then slammed the small knife on the table and reached for a big knife. Her pupils were now as small as hell and she was breathing heavily. She then yelled out "THE SECRET DIES HERE YOU LIAR!!!", and she ran at Scootaloo with the intent to kill. No longer did Pinkie care of procedure, she wanted Scootaloo dead now. Not in fifty minutes, not in a minute, right now.

Scootaloo closed her eyes as this was the end, there was nothing to stop the monster running for her. The seconds expanded and became longer. Her heart was racing and she had once last wish in her heart. That she could once again see Rainbow Dash. Another welcome tear fell from Scootaloo's eye as she waited for the inevitable to happen. It was to end right here and right now. Then something warm shot across Scootaloo's face and it cause the darkness that she could once see to go red. Was this death? She opened on eye to have to shut it again as she was blinded by some kind of light. SUNLIGHT! Somepony had come to save her. She looked to the door and saw what she wished for.

Rainbow Dash!
She stood there and looked down at the monstrous Pinkie Pie who had stopped to see Rainbow Dash standing there. Then Pinkie Pie slowly turned her head back to Scootaloo and wailed out and charged at her. Then Rainbow Dash flew into Pinkie Pie sending her flying into the wall, this caused the light to turn on and the words "LIFE IS A PARTY" could be seen by all. Then the guards charged in and surrounded Pinkie Pie. She had one last attempt at escaping by throwing a knife at one of the guards and running for it. But the guard deflected the knife and tackled Pinkie down to the ground. Other guards came and tied up Pinkie's hoofs so she couldn't move.

Rainbow Dash observed the wall with this writing on it and was disgusted by what she saw. She then untied Scootaloo from the table and took her outside.

"Is it over?" said Scootaloo as she cried on Rainbow Dash.

"Yes it is" said Rainbow Dash as she hugged Scootaloo and held her close by. The two then emerged from Sugar Cube Corner to be met by a crowd of curious ponies. They were worried about Scootaloo when they saw her petrified and very close to Rainbow Dash. Then they saw Pinkie Pie being dragged out of there with her hoofs tied up. They all gasped and started talking to each other. Then the Two guards took off and carried Pinkie away as she was now to be sent to the mental asylum. Scootaloo took a chill pill now as she could finally breathe again. She had accomplished her task and saved her best friend. This had just about changed the current course of the universe altogether and it now gave Scootaloo peace of mind.

There were still two things that Scootaloo had to do to make everything better once again. She got herself free of Rainbow Dash and hit the time travel device and she teleported away. Then she appeared in front of the tomb stone of Rainbow Dash. This now never happened but Scootaloo still had to tie up the loose ends of this. She then heard a familiar voice from behind her; she turned to see her past self standing at the entrance of the cemetery. It was the same feeling in her hoofs with the wet and mushy soil under her feet. She then had to do what had to be done and she ran off to the east of where she was. Then she ran left to go round the edge. It then came to the point where she randomly turned left and then she jumped into the left bush. She peered out of the bush and saw herself slowly come towards the bush.  Then the past Scootaloo looked in the bush and saw herself. Now Scootaloo had seen both ends of this and this would be something that she would never forget.

"I know how this looks, but let me explain" Scootaloo started.

"Go ahead, I'm all ears" said the past Scootaloo.

"I'm from the future" Scootaloo said. The past Scootaloo stood there trying to think of what a future version of herself was doing here. "I've come back to see you, you need to do what I tell you to do" she continued. "Understand" she said sharply.

"Yes" the past Scootaloo said.

"You need to take this" said Scootaloo as she handed the time travel devise. "And you need to travel back in time" she continued.

"I don't know but you must do this for me, you need to stop Rainbow Dash from going to Sugar Cube Corner. This you must do" said the future Scootaloo. Scootaloo spent a few seconds thinking and Scootaloo knew what she was thinking and she knew how this would end.
"I'll do it" said the past Scootaloo. Scootaloo stepped back and watched as the past Scootaloo travelled in time. As this was happening she too travelled in time using the same energy and she went to the point where she had left Rainbow Dash.

Rainbow Dash turned to see Scootaloo standing there. She looked at her with a confused look on her face.

"You ok?" Rainbow Dash said as she looked at the out of breath Scootaloo.

"Yeah just needed to move my wings a bit" she said as she didn't want her to know about the whole time travelling thing. She then looked down the town and remembered there was one other thing that needed to be done. "I'll be back, I've got one more thing I need to do" she said as she ran off down the town.

"Ok?" said Rainbow Dash as she was unsure what Scootaloo was on about.

Scootaloo ran though the town and ran as fast as she could. Soon she was out of the town and she ran though the cemetery to see the tomb stone disappear before her. Then she continued to run into the forest. She had completely destroyed a part of time but she needed to do one more thing or else all of this would be for nothing. Her steps became harder to complete as she was running out of energy. But each step brought her closer to where she needed to be. Then she ran up the stairs of the tree house and stopped at the door. She then took a deep breath before entering. She was then face to face with herself again.

"So that's what was wrong with her" said the other Scootaloo.

"Well, she had to keep the secret" said Scootaloo.

"She could do that any day" said the present Scootaloo.

They both laughed and then they both looked into each other's eyes. Then they both lifted one of their hoofs and hit them against each other. This caused Scootaloo to disappear and get adsorbed into the other Scootaloo. Then a tear fell down Scootaloo's eye as she uttered:

"Thanks for the adventure"

And so, Scootaloo re-synced with herself and everything went back to normal. Rainbow Dash was safe and Pinkie Pie was in court. The time devise was a mysterious entity that was now lost in a self-inflicting paradox. But even though this is the case the adventure doesn't stop here, as now the adventure has just began!

That hurt my BRAIN to write and there is probably a big inconsistency in this but to be honest it was only written for fun. I hope you all enjoyed this weird crossover idea and I
hope my other writing will go good as well.
